Postcards from the Happiest Place on Earth

Monday, March 7, 2016

We spent the latter part of 2015 enjoying the winter breeze of Hong Kong. It's been NINE years since I last visited this beautiful place, and as far as I remembered, nothing big has changed. Only that there are new attractions and perhaps, Mickey Mouse has a new costume for their Christmas clicks.

1. The Slinky Dog Spin in Toy Story Land reigns supreme as HK Disneyland's most popular attraction.
2. Selfie sticks are not allowed. (when the staffs are looking)
3. 310,000 pieces of Minnie Mouse headbands were already sold as of January of 2014. And I didn't buy because it costs a dinner for two. (I'm kuripot.)
4. Mystic Manor is the first trackless ride that applies radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology built by Disney. (Oh no, don't talk science Hazel)
5. The movie screen for Mickey's PhilharMagic is the largest seamless projection screen in the world at 150 ft long and 28 ft high.
6. The mickey mouse waffle is delicious but is free in the hotel, so go book at their hotel for unlimited waffles. Ha ha kidd!
7. It's relatively small, so you could explore it in less than 6 hours. But it is still the happiest place so just repeat the rides and do shoots.
8. The Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars is worth the 4 hour line!
9. The Iron Man Experience (which is one of my random pick photo) is the first Marvel attraction at a Disney theme park and will open at HK Disneyland this year.
10. There are approximately 200 species of trees and 400 shrub species at the resort.

Obviously, I lack time to actually edit all of the photos so I just did a random pick of 50 from my Iphone. And take literally in a way that I uploaded it also in a non-synchronnize manner. I'll be sharing with you some travel tips and instagram worthy places in Hong Kong later this March! So for now, I hope you enjoy my photo diary!
